How's everyone doing? I'm not a noob when it comes to digital art I'm very seasoned in Photoshop from 7.0 to CS3 but after my recent move my copy has been misplaced and so I thought I'd try GIMP. I am not however having the easiest time of it and I feel like a total noob all over again. Hoping I can find some help here as I'm working on a very important project for my niece who recently lost her chihuahua and I want to do something to help her. :tyspin

I an pretty new here, too, but still wanted to welcome you :)

There are tons of helpful tutorials in the Tutorial-Forum; I am sure you will get used to GIMP in an instant. And I've seen already a lot of really nice and supporting people here :paint

Welcome Reinsmommy. You can do anything with Gimp that you could do with PhotoShop 7.0 to CS3. It just works in a slightly different way, which you'll soon learn. I used to use PhotoShop 7.0 back in the day when I used Windows. Now that I'm all Linux, I use Gimp instead and have never wanted to go back.
