Graphics veteran novice from Austin, Texas

Hello!

I signed-up in the hopes to learn more about how to effectively use GIMP for my use cases. I am a graphics novice and yet I have been using every graphics program under the sun over the past 20 years (hence, a veteran novice). With little success, I must admit. I am a technologist working for a software vendor. Most of my graphics are diagrams I draw or screenshots I manipulate for better presentation.

I am one of those guys who wonders: "why is there not a filter for this?" or "why is this so hard!" and it is really only because I don't have the skills I need to do what I need done.

I'm an old dog trying to learn a few new tricks
