It was warm today, 10 degrees! I laugh at 10 degrees because it's darn toasty compared to the -25 and below we have had!

I had three goat babies born on Friday, and was grateful it was warmer. So what does a goat lady have to do with Gimp? I make goat art. You can find me on facebook if you like under Allena Mae. I raise registered LaMancha goats, which are dairy goats, but I make art that is farm/goat related. There isn't a lot of it.

I also do a lot of graphic work for fellow goat folks. Most notably I do ads for magazines that cost a whole lot to have published. LOL My graphics work has not ever been "fun" but serious work.

My latest artwork has been paintings that take goats and make them into geometric shapes and feature tattoo styles and a tribal feeling. To do this really well I feel I should do it in Gimp, my favorite go to.

Until now I have mostly just been an advanced user, I know how to use all the basics - layers the filters make some cool text, nothing to wet your pants over but great for the biz world. But now I find that I am going to have ot step it up and stop avoiding wading into the VAST vat of information that Gimp is capable of.

Did I mention that not only do i manage several websites for clients, and graphics work, plus paint that I am remodeling my house? I also have 7 children and I homeschool them.

Now you understand the "crazy" part. Anyhow, this is a nice site and I need ot learn...a lot. i obviously don't have a lot of time to do it. Thank you to all of the artists that have contributed, and I hope that I can too post some really awesome artwork on here soon.

Welcome to Gimp Chat AllenaMae
My sister raises goats also in Australia but I wouldn't call her crazy :) . She calls them her babies. I don't know what type. Looking forward to seeing your work.
