Upgraded to 2.10.28, verified the bug, upgraded to 3.0.0 prelease, and verified that it works great iwth 2.10.28. See, I can be a guinea pig, too. lol

Bushed, now, but at least I'm at the tail's end of my Friday, so weekend awaits (but have lots of things to do, regardless to including working my part-time job on Wednesday; lol). Anyway, here's now wishing for inspiration since I have none. lol

Just thought I would throw this in
I was having problems with gimp working slow and crashing
I don't know what caused it, but installing .28 resolved the problem
and is back to being fast and usable
