Introducing Gimp 2.7.5

Hi all.

I successfully compiled Gimp 2.7.5 with help from Parthas tutorial. It was hard work...
Now, I have a fully working Gimp 2.7.5 (Win 32Bit).
And all, because the new size-slider for the brush-size is badly configured.
Max size: 10000.0, I don't need such big brushes. But shown on the slider is max 1000.0, so
sizing a brush in areas around 10, it is almost impossible, to size it with the mouse or a tablet.
So I changed it, but there are two questions:

In Parthas build, the gimp-2.7.exe is about 5.5 megs, but with my build, it's around 28 megs. Why?
When I start gimp-2.7.exe, there opens the gimp-console, in Parthas build not. How can I get rid of it?

OK, I managed the console window.
I just declared my gimp version as "stable", so the output window disappeared.
