I find this whole topic petty, in the sense there is no way it can be enforced by Lena. You think it is just our opinion that we are forcing on everybody else? You think it is wrong to expect people to respect the wishes of others? You are forcing your opinion on a woman that no longer wishes you to use her image, which by the way is morally her property if not legally! Maybe we can use your face without your permission for any purpose we choose? Your post says much about your humanity!!!

Calling people disrespectful and making vague threats (ignoring them on the forum) to those you disagree with is ALSO disrespectful. Everyone is entitled to their OWN opinion. Don't like it? Find a door. Use my image to your delight. I see so many people using images of politicians and people they disagree with, in silly memes. But that's not disrespectful is it? Because you agree with them. You can't push me around and you don't like it. Too bad. I'm here for GIMP related topics not your infected social stances.

The person in question is a private citizen and has been a private citizen for a while now. And she certainly wasn't any celebrity or a person with large number of exposure. So, that alone settles it, her image can no longer be used.

I wasn't aware of the history surrounding the image.
It never crossed my mind that something like this could or would happen.
I've never used the image here on Gimp Chat for anything that I can recall.
The image has always been nothing more then a test image to me.
I never considered where the image came from or it's history.
I typically use my own images for testing anyway.
