Looks like I was beaten to the punch so to speak.

Well, the reason I had not announced it yet myself was that I wanted to create an installer and keep a promise made to some of you a while ago to post the technical details. I now have achieved one of the two. The hard drive version now comes with an installer which will create all the necessary paths etc. It will also create a desktop icon for your convenience.

You can also uninstall from the Control Panel as any other program.

Caveats: I don't know how it will work on your machine. I have tested on XP and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit) US locale. PhotoComix has tested the portable version on his machine and it works.

Give it a whirl and see if it works for you. As always, feed back welcome!

Hi PC,

You may have noticed (or did I already tell you?) that I did not include the larger previews that you had provided me. The reason is that they don't compile properly anymore and so you will need to a) modify them for the new builds or b) provide me with diff files so I can patch the source before building.

So the installer worked right off the bat?? Great! You know that it comes with an uninstaller. You can check for it in your Control Panel.

In case I overlooked something...
Is it possible in single windows mode to put the toolbox to the right?
Does anyone know if that polaroid preview window of another image, because you cannot look at two images at the same time, is implemented and I haven't seen it yet?
If they came to their senses (No offence, but I strongly disagree with the otherwise so smart developers here.) about being able to have two image and open side by side and be able to work with both at once?
If the thumbnail images that you see on top will be a list of what images you had open previously or if it will stay the way it is now?
Is it possible to move around that little window that opens on canvas when you open the text tool?
Is there a way to move text around when editing?
Or can I just turn, on canvas text editing off altogether?

I didn't use 2.7.2 and I hardly used the official 2.7.1 release. (I did a couple times for the rotation on the brush, and now there's more so I'll be using this for awhile)

I noticed already some things I really don't like.

I clicked on layer modes and I haft to hold my mouse down for that list to stay up.

I did for a while too, the way I get around that bit of a mistake by Devs, is having the Move tool on Move Active Layer (not default option), then just switching to it to move text when it is needed.
Kind of a Pain but it works
