AFAIK no good. It will need a re-write for Gimp 3.0
I tried a compile - kubuntu 24.04 - Gimp 3.0 RC1 existing code - and the compiled plugin fails

Plenty errors

Your best bet is to contact the original author and ask for a re-compile for Gimp-3.0. :)

https://github.com/alessandrofrancescon ... lugin-bimp

Also

On a side note if you could compile GIMP-3.0 in mysys you could probably easily compile BIMP for that version after. You would have to compile all the GIMP-3.0 dependencies first though. Then GIMP, then BIMP.

Then probably any executable you wanted thereafter.

The problem is compiling GIMP-3.0 / GIMP-3.0-DEP / GEGL and BABL first.
I am not sure how to accomplish this in mingw 64 & mysys. If anyone could tell me how to compile GIMP-3.0 with GIT id appreciate it.

Actually i believe Contrast has the ability to do this for latest GIMP-3.0 commits. :bigthup

That won't be just a recompile. A lot of things are different in Gimp3 (for the better, though).

Original author hasn't even started and this would be a big project. So my guess is BIMP will be left behind.

Maybe he just waits for GIMP 3.0 to be actually finished and released?

BIMP's last feature was July 2022. It was avif file format support, all updates since were just translations.

its safe to say the dev is not going to jump in the last minute and do a ton of complex work.

How about Batcher by Kamil Burda?
https://github.com/kamilburda/batcher

Could fill the gap ...

BIMP is my most used plug in. Comes in handy when you sometimes have upwards of a 100 photos in a thread. I used to do them all individually before discovering BIMP.

This is my first post here. I wanted to let you know that I found out that there is a plugin for GIMP 3.0 that is called batcher. I can't put the link in but just google it with "batcher for gimp" and it will come up with the website on github. Just wanted to let people know.

I just installed batcher for some batch cropping and it worked great. never used BIMP so cant compare, but it seems a robust enough substitute.
