Since I can't post links yet, the best thing I can do is to ask you to google the Marvel SNAP Hulk Logo. That's what I'd like to similarly replicate. I'd like to take some text and have a long shadow behind/beneath it, but I'd like the shadow to go to a point rather than a simple angle. Right now as far as I know, the only way I can maybe do this is by using the recursive transform tool but it's highly unintuitive. I appreciate any help you all can provide!

We use to do it with 3D extrusion. I have only got the script for version 2.10 not 2.8 Maybe someone will come along and pass it along.
Let me have a look in Gmic if there is anything.
There is a 3D extrusion in GMIC but you will have to play with the sliders to get what you want.

Don’t be afraid to start over. It’s a new chance to rebuild what you want.

Hi dalton.
My advice is to update to at least Gimp-2.10.38 RC1.
You have many more filter options with 2.10 versions. And their are non installed portable Gimp-2.10 downloads available as well.
So you could run it right next to Gimp-2.8 and have the best of both worlds. :)
