I'm wondering if the GREYCstoration plugin is available for all versions of gimp, not just 2.6. If not, can the plugin still be used with other versions of gimp? Or is there a similar plugin that works like it? The registry only has the 2.6 version.

Check the thread below Mackenzieh and install Irfanview (works also in Ubuntu if you don't run Windows). :)

GREYCstoration plugin is now http://gmic.eu/

Note: This plug-in is the logical sequel of our previous GREYCstoration software, dedicated to image denoising and regularization. Actually, G'MIC provides all the GREYCstoration features (through the filter entries Enhancement/Anisotropic smoothing and Patch-based smoothing), but also much much more. As the development of GREYCstoration has been discontinued, we highly encourage former users of GREYCstoration to switch to G'MIC indeed.

Just as a side note, I believe I had greyc working in 2.8 (w/ my last PC that is), but since G'MIC, you don't need greyc really since anisotropic smoothing works quite well as a replacement. :)

Also Odin ninja'd me. :ninja

Yes, greyc was also created by David, but it's a very limited plugin. G'MIC can do it all. :)
