Scrolling Animation Logo Script for GIMP

A friend of mine wanted me to take a logo and make it scroll across a square area.
I didn't receive the logo yet, so I said I'd write a script that does it so that when i get the logo, I just have to feed the script and voila.

There are 2 versions.
Version 2 can do what version 1 does (it just needs 3 layers where the topmost layer is blank/transparent).
But version 1 can't do what version 2 does.

OOP's Trandoductin you forgot something with Rel2, it still says Scrolling Logo Rel 1

What can version2 do that version1 can't

version 1 just expects 2 layers. a background and scrolling layer.

version 2 expects 3 layers. where it scrolls the 2nd layer so you can have like a cover/border or whatever as 3 layer (on top).
