For anyone who may be interested, this is my latest inlay text effort. It is my version of Esper's Amber Text found on the Gimp Science Labs website. This was not done with a script, however.

@Jas45

That's really cool looking. Did you use a font, if so what's it called?

Thanks Wallace. The font is the same one that Esper used, called MCF Star Worms (from Dafont). The normal font is a little thinner - I multiplied the width x 1.2 to give a little more body for the amber.

Ok, I guess I'm going senile but how does one do this without the supernova?

Hi Graechan,
as before, with another of your wonderful scripts, I can use easily the LOGO section, while I am in trouble with the alpha-to-logo section.
My objectives for such a function are primarily two:
1 - a nice text on top of the chosen image
2 - a nice background behind the selected figure of the chosen image
I succeeded in creating the two attached images, but:
a - for the first one I had to use separately the LOGO feature then add it
b - for the second one I had to reload the figure and add it to the created image replacing one of the layer
My question to you is this:
- is it possible to use the alpha-to-logo feature of the script in an easy (for me) way in order to create those kinds of final results?

For case 1 (text on top) I guess it's a case similar to the SMOKIN script.

The base image is my usual image for testing (angel III), so you can play with it once again!

Many thanks in advance for your patience...

Many thanks Graechan!
The "text on top of an image" situation, is fully solved.
I wonder if you can simplify for me also the "selection with rayed background" - I attach here the example.
To produce it, after running the script (default options, but "keep the layers" checked) I did the following:
1 - go back to the original image with the selection
2 - copy
3 - paste as new layer on top of your "fill" layer
4 - remove visibility from the layer with the original name which was filled in by the script with white
If you find a simpler way for me, thanks in advance...

Esper that's correct and here are the settings I used

(Motif_Geometrique_1_3D_samj 4 4 4 4 4 4 "Black" "Lightgray" "Gray" TRUE "myPattern")

Dinasset your final Image looks terrific, but it's beyond the scope of the script to achieve this.

The best I could do is create a background script that would add the bkg to your Image
