I have paths saved to .svg files for a script that imports them for use by text_along_path.
It worked perfectly until someone running a newer then my Gimp 2.8.16 tried to use it.
The paths when imported shrink by about 75% and of course the position changes
from center to upper left hand possibly due to the shrinking.

Does anyone know if something has changed in Gimp relating to the import of paths
in .svg format?

Best guess.

It is the default ppi used by the other Gimp user.

You make a path using 96 ppi - example Make an image 200x200 pix @ 96ppi path goes from corner to corner.

Other user creates an image 200x200 pix @ 72 ppi and imports the path. About 25% smaller.
