Roller 6

Hello Gimp users,
You are welcome to my passtime production and GIMP 2.10 Python plugin, Roller 6. Roller is useful for making reproducible compositions such as wallpaper.

I'm responsible for the code, so if you have any problems with it, please let me know here in the forum. Thanks for your attention.

Roller 6 adds a new output branch to a render called "Line". In these demostrations, I've created some examples of Line production. In the 'Demo.zip' file, there are presets that you can study to see how the Line output is created.

I am getting some strange messages from this. First it wants to use a server which can be dangerous. then because I said not to it crashed as soon as I tried to open it. Not tried other ones before either.

Roller doesn't access the internet. It's something I avoid because it is dangerous for the user. I have questions. Can you post a screenshot? What OS are you using? Which version of GIMP is producing the error?

My best guess is this:
When Roller starts it requires hard drive access in order to store presets. It saves presets in the same folder where it is installed. I have a feeling that you're denying it permission to store data. Roller is supposed to close in that case, but it isn't something that I've tested extensively, so it may be crashing instead of exiting.

The presets are the only data that Roller saves. It also can read image files from the hard drive, but the read operations are not automatic like how the "Last Used" preset is saved, but instead are setup by the user.

The attached file is Roller 6.10, a GIMP 2.10 plug-in, which you may find useful for making an original composition (e.g. wallpaper), or reproducing an existing one from a saved Roller 6 preset.

Hi guys,
Roller is now at version 6.15. The latest version has a new Frame called "Overlap".
Here is an example of the Frame's output which is in the foreground surrounding the show piece.
