I got confused by too many "layer effect " script around

Which the best ? (i use gimp2,7 but i may take care of the warning no problem there)
Python or scheme ?

I prefer both, just to maximize the menu options (Layers, Script-Fu, right-click context).

I prefer the python version as it seems to have better variables and results. I use it almost exclusively over the other versions like FX foundry.
