I updated my Switch Sides script to Ver 1.1, to allow the two halfs of an image to be switched and still keep all of the layers and alpha channels. Ver 1.0 flattened the image. Ver 1.1 doesn't. I originally wrote this script for use with my 3D lens, but have been finding more and more uses for it. Here are before and after pix, to see what the script does. Here's the link. http://registry.gimp.org/node/24403

Does a nice job, Greg. I'm curious. Why would I want to do that when I have the whole image? I know there must be a purpose.

With my 3D lens, you need 3D glasses to see the 3D effect. By switching the two sides, it becomes a cross view 3D. With a cross view 3D, you only need to cross your eyes to see the 3D image. It came in handy when doing Lyle's ribbon idea.
