is it just me or has it become a lot quieter here ?

if so, is it because of the summer ?

I think summer could have a bearing on it, a lot of people are cleaning up their yards just to get ready for the frost and so on.
I think more people will start gimping again once it's too cold to be outside.
This is just my guess.

I agree with Molly. I think once Fall comes around people will gimp again.

Statistically, there hasn't been an overall drop off in visitors. GC has been getting 50k-55k unique visitors per month for quite some time.



There is less traffic on weekends. With Football season kicking off in the USA, I suspect that trend will continue, at least for some of us.



Interestingly, Monday is day of the week GC experiences the most traffic.

I haven't noticed a slowdown, but that is probably because I don't have much spare time to ry out all the tutorials and then post them, and often just catch up on reading new posts but not replying. Summer does, indeed, present me with less online time as we have a large garden to take care of.

I'm pretty sure this is going to change when 2.10 gets released and we get newcomers.

My younger children returned to school two weeks ago. One might think that leaves me more time to GIMP, but unfortunately it leaves me less. There are now several tutorials I am behind on completing and I have yet to tinker with the newest versions of a few scripts as well. I hope to have more time for GIMP and for GimpChat once the teachers start assigning homework.

i guess all boards like this have their ups and downs . i've enjoyed a break, tried to get some beading going and spent time with friends and boyfriend (over the phone and online) and gathered up enough inspiration to both work with gimp and talk about working with gimp again.

Yeah it seems kinda slow, but you know...Life is a pain in the...tush.
