Hi,

I only got Gimp (And mathmap and Droste 10 code) the other day so I am quite new to it. I do have PS CS6 though.

I have photographing for over 30 years now and thought I'd give Gimp a chance.

So I would like to know as my initial post:

Can anyone point me in the direction of a Tutorial on how to do the Droste effect?

Most of the tutorials are videos and to music not a step by step (for the idiot that I am) or a textual one again a step by step one. I want to try to make a spiral image, but all my attempts have been dreadful and embarrassing.

I like to bee able to print out a tutorial so I can read and try on my train journeys to and from work.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Lensmeister.

I'm with Erisian, G'MIC and MathMap are excellent additions to Gimp also GAP ( Gimp Animation Package ).

Welcome to Gimp Chat. I have to say i like MathMaps spiral effect more than any other. Lyle would be the master of it though. Don't know if he will part with any secrets but i am sure he can point you in the correct direction. :)
Here is one you can play with though. Use any image you want. :bigthup
