Hey there folks! I'm Stefan from Houston TX.

I'm relatively new to GIMP and have been using it for about three or four months. I started out just doing memes on Facebook until one day a friend posted an old photograph of one of her family members so I thought I'd give it a go at trying some restoration work. The photo actually came out really well and I enjoyed the challenge.

Colorization of b&w photos is also something I have been working with which offers it's unique set of challenges.

You'll probably see in the restoration forum for the most part but I'm always eager to learn new things so you never know where I might pop up.

Welcome to Gimp Chat.
If you have the latest G'MIC, (1.6.0.1) a gimp plugin. It has extra helps for colourizing photos. Under black and white photos - colourize [photographs]
It is interactive now and you can do line drawings as well.
