I say "behind the scenes" because most folks consider the GUI to be the primary focus of a computer. I forget this forum isn't "most folks".

I tried doing it without printf but I couldn't get awk's FIELDWIDTHS option to work. I don't know if printf can be set to recognize the field separators produced by grep ir if I can change grep's default field separator. I'll look into it some more.

I didn't say to do it without printf in awk but to skip awk and use the printf command from bash (in other words, the power of printf-formatting is available outside of awk in modern Linux).

The Collection Manager is a great way to organize your files for easy retrieval later when you need them. It helps to keep track of the resources available, like a file cabinet. No more staring at the brush box for me!
