Man, does life get complicated sometimes. A busy work schedule and depression-induced apathy have kept me away from GIMP for quite a span of time. It's been long enough that I felt the need to reintroduce myself. I'm sure there are some here that still remember me from when I was rather active in the community and maybe some new folks have seen my meager contributions scattered throughout the forum. But I wanted to say "hello" again. I'm hoping my renewed focus will keep me around for good this time.

Unfortunately, I've largely forgotten what I knew. Seems GIMP is not like riding a bicycle. I don't expect it will take me long to catch back up to my old self though. The larger problem is that all of the scripts I had accumulated are now on an external backup harddrive... but that drive was built on a Linux filesystem and I'm now back to running Windows. So I don't know if I can access those tools again. I have to rebuild from a vanilla installation.

Hi Sasquatch! I'm sorry you weren't well, but you are here again and this is the most important thing. I'm sure you will get update in the forum and creations, too.
You know that here each helps others in his/her possibilities. So don't doubt to ask what you need.

Hey, Issabella! I'm glad to be back. I remember how good this community is. And now I have something to focus on. Before I was just mucking about. It's easy to lose interest when you don't have a focus.

Artists are so cool eh? I can relate to re-announcing about a year after joining GC.



I've been lost in 3D fractals for over a month now. Without ever making a 3D fractal I decided to start compiling some software that creates them. The weird thing is I already have the software working on Windows but I want it to work on Xubuntu alongside Gimp with a hundred plugins and scripts. It's my 'studio'. All open source software developed in a global socialist wonderland without money. Then I post my works here and there and they are mostly ignored. I like that part the most because it confirms that the human race is too busy to notice the art all around them. Don't bother re-learning gimp, just try to make something and when you get lost watch a video howto.

Hi Sasquatch, great to see you back pal and glad your out of the dip. In a way I'm almost envious of you starting over, I've collected so much junk, the majority of which i doubt I'll ever use, ho hum.
