Dinasset, I came to comment that I found another version of the script and that it works without generating errors.
viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18558&start=10#p253384

Unfortunately, I still didn't know how to configure the script to obtain results similar to those exposed here on the forum.

Racer-x,

The Mosaic filter is very good and makes the process much easier to obtain the final result.

Even following the tutorials at viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3562 and also at https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-Seaml ... metry-mode , the mosaic filter is an option!

Thanks Graechan.
I downloaded and run your updated release; using default parameters I got this result:

Cobblestone Mosaic-of-rosa-tagore.jpg

from this source:

just a question:
- it doesn't look to me as "cobblestone"
- IIRC in previous old Gimp the result was different (but I may be wrong)
- I think the difference is in the different behaviour of Gimp functions
- BUT: if you confirm that this is the standard default look, do you think it's possible to set-up default parameters to look more as "cobblestone"?
Thanks a lot in advance.

The last time the script was fixed I got this result (it worked in 2.10.20 then)

One of the things that I see that make it very difficult to work is the mosaic plugin. When GIMP changed it, it destroyed this script-fu. I want the legacy mosaic filter back; going to see if I can find it somewhere and hope that it will still work in GIMP 2.10x. :)

If I overstep anything, moderators, please let me know. If you want this script-fu to work, you will need to put the mosaic.exe plugin (GIMP 2.8 vintage but it still works in 2.10x) in your users>GIMP>plugin folder (don't need to put it in your GIMP executable and I highly recommend you not to do so). Once you do, Graechan's Script-fu, by default, will use this plugin instead and it will work like it should. :)

I'm adding this script to gimpscripts.net. along with the older legacy mosaic plugin.

Glad you took the mantle for GIMPScripts, Mahvin. Also glad that Tux chimed in recently too. :)
