Hi, I'm very new here. I am trying to install da big gimpin plugin on a Mac OS and am having issues with it. I have managed to find the plug-in folder when you go under "GIMP-2.10" ->Preferences -> Folders + -> Plug-ins and then choosing the pathway "/Users/Username/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins. However, when I go to that location in my finder there is not a "plug-ins" folder... Do I add a folder with that file name? If so, I still am unable to access the plug-in on GIMP after I've copied the plug-ins labeled "da_big_gimpin_script_v3 9.09.36 AM", "da_big_gimping_script 9.09.36 AM", and "da_big_gimping_script_2 9.09.36 AM". Is anyone able to help me?

You could open up Gimp and go to Edit/preferences/ folders/plugins to find out where your plugins folders are located. (or scripts if it is an SCM file)

So when I go to edit/preferences/folder/plugins. It shows the plug ins folder being here: /Users/Username/Library/ApplicationSupport/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins. However, when I go to that location in my finder I can only go to the “2.10” folder and there is no “plug-ins” folder which is strange. There is also another pathway which is “/Applications/GIMP-2.10.app/Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins” and I found the plugins folder there but putting the files into that folder did not install the plugin either.

Fire up GIMP and check in preferences. Look for Folders option and click to expand. Look for the plugins and click to open a dialog, there should be paths listed to where GIMP keeps the plugins on your system.
Place the plugin in the directory there. (or one of the directories if more then on is listed)

I have written tutorials on how to do this and nothing has changed with it in recent years...follow Erisians first suggestion, or if you can see a small house in your side bar start there....in the last folder you will find folders to aadd most things such as brushes, scripts, py, gradients etc etc....once you have added you can refresh GIMP while it is open in brushes etc but best if you restart the GIMP and then go from there.
