I am writing this to let all the members know that Oregonian has been quite ill since Christmas Eve. Starting with a sore throat then a cold and the flu the next day, she ended up in the hospital.
She was released today and she is now with her daughter in another part of Oregon, and will be staying there until she is able to gain back her strength, and get back to her healthy self.

We know most people are probably wondering why we haven't seen her in Gimp Chat for a while so we thought you should know that she is on the mend and knowing her she will be itching to get back here as soon as she can.

Wishing a speedy recovery! Such a shame to be so ill through the holidays, but good to hear that she is recovering.

Thanks for the update Molly; had no idea. Knew she was visiting family for the holidays so I would never have suspected. Wish you God speed on your recovery O.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. I'm slowly recovering (not as fast as I'd like), and hopefully by the weekend I'll go home. I'm staying with my daughter and her family in Tualatin which is just a few miles south of Portland.

The flu I got was not one that is covered by the flu vaccine so having a flu shot would not have prevented it. What ever it is, it wiped me out completely. I've not ever been that sick that I recall.

I'm on the mend and working slowly to get my health and stamina back.

Thanks again, I really miss you all. I'll be browsing around here in Gimp Chat a bit to see what's happening.

O

Great news!! Glad to hear you are feeling better and looking forward to having you back. Just take it easy and get plenty of rest. No need to rush it and risk any kind of relapse.
