Maybe we may have a lot of fun togheter creating a special Gimpchat Hallowen kit:
the Gimpchat Hallowen kit may contain

Render (bat vamps ghosts and so on )
, special effect layers (fire, smoke ,flashing)
free "scary" fonts (if redistribuible )
Background
Brush
Pattern
Clipart (.svg )

the idea is that the kit should contain the element needed to assemble Halloween card ,flyer , poster or wallpaper...)

( then could be a contest " What you did with our Halloween Kit :hoh "for the best combinations done

I like the idea. I am not nearly intelligent enough to design the kit but I would participate.

Sounds like fun, PhotoComix. So what do we do. Donate stuff for the kit, then all of us decide what goes into it and then zip up the kit?

we can make a sticky
everybody is invited to add whatever
, as example i hope many renders(from pumpkins to flying Witchs Vamps,)

and brushes ( copy/paste as new brush is so handy to create brush from renders )

and what else could be useful to assemble Holloween compostion
(so chraracters, object, background and special fx )

BTW there are already ton of images (and i suppose even renders) and brush on Hallowen, even limiting the search to CC and stock.
well digging there to select the best and tweak it ,is allowed and encoraged (till there are credit for the original, )

As well who stumble on particarly good and copyright free material is invited to post the links.

Then when is sufficent material we arrange everything nicely and zip everything

PS
why "quote" doesn't work ?

In order for it to quote using someone's name, there has to be quotation marks around the name.

This: [quote="PhotoComix"], not this: [quote=Oregonian]

One of my Dad's annoying Halloween prompts will play this message, so why not just let the spider dictate it on his web. lol

Thanks for the comments. I use to use Flame Pear's Veins filter (free by the way) to create the effect, but I've since started to use a cool Script-fu called Paths to Voronai (like the result better; keeps it in the GIMP family too; lol). Too lazy right now to look it up, but believe it's at the Registry. :)

I actually posted this one on GIMPTalk, but it could be a useful as a Halloween prop too. Below is the message verbatim. Just follow the links and you won't regret (part of the puzzle that a diabolical mind like mine laid out; lol). :)

"You will never guess what this one is unless you click on the image.

And yes, I painstakingly carved each individual Gyroid (not!!). Some may already remember my skelestone texture; it's a hint as to the diabolical render this one actually is. ;)

:)"

Actually my image is a demo of Halloween brushes I'm contributing to the kit. I haven't zipped and attached them yet.
