Anmal the font would have displayed better if the text color was white otherwise you Gals seem to collect lots of fonts and patterns.

I have some extravagant fancy Fonts that appear squished together and entwined around each other, making it difficult to determine the full extent of each letter. (Especially Capitol letters).
So for these fonts they need a space in between each letter. I Spaced the numbers and other characters too.
So I changed my Layout-2 to this:



(layout-2 (string-append font "\n" your-text "\n" " ! \" # $ % & ' ( ) * + , - . >\n: ; < = ? @ / [ \\ ] ^ _ `\n0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9\nA B C D E F G H I J K L M\nN O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z\na b c d e f g h i j k l m\nn o p q r s t u v w x y z"))


●And I might change the label from Layout-2 to "Layout-2 Spaces".
●Maybe Graechan could add this as a Layout-3 for that choice for others???
●Or maybe an added option that you can select the letter spacing? ( because two spaces between each capitol letter in some fonts is even better).

I have amended the script to have a Letter Spacing adjustment in Rel3 as this is a better way of adjusting letter spacing

I have a little suggestion/request, Graechan. Is there anyway you can capture the font that we used from the font menu to activate the script? It's not a problem, it would just save a step in the dialog.

Odin, I am not sure on what your asking, but if you select the font in the font menu it becomes the active font and would by default be the font used by the script.Having the option of assigning a font permanently was more for my convenience as I have always used this script to create a font file to test another script

It all good, I was just thinking if you right select a font to bring up "Font Display" that font will be selected in the "Font Display" dialog. On my Win machine I have to change the font in the "Font Display" dialog. It's not a problam but I thought it might be slick if the font you right selected in the font menu was already in the dialog. For example, if I right select, "Sans Bold", choose the "Font Display" menu, in the "Font Display" dialog I have "JasmineUPC Bold" from a previous use. My Gimp selected font at the time was "Segoe Print Bold".

Just uploaded Rel4, where I've changed the displayed fontname to be in the 'Sans' font

This was done to give all fonts a readable header e.g. 'Wingdings e.t.c.'

Upgraded to release 5 that optionally uses the 'Sans' font for a header which is useful for dingbats

Thanks Odin and Molly I think it was 'O' who said it would be to complicated to to apply 2 different fonts but it wasn't that hard at all
