it was not initiating a debate, either political or religious.
Many other posts in Gimp-chat where asking for prayers and stayed.

I don't think that inviting to pray for the peace is offending someone here.
Conbagui and Rod added their posts to my topic, then I went out for many hours and - once back - I didn't find any more the topic.
Could at least the moderator who cancelled the topic be so kind to answer here?

When i log your post was already removed , anyway i believe that the problem was not something wrong in your message or the replies but in the risk to ignite a political or religious discussion, that here are banned.

The point is not much what you or other had written but what other may add, it is really hard to control similar topic just to give a idea , not to start a discussion (please not ):

You said could be nothing wrong to invite to pray for peace , but other may believe that could be a method to trick yourself and the other ,to discard responsibility but pretending to be doing something useful ...what i did for poor starving people, or for protect your planet or for the peace ? ...i prayed a lot and i invited other to pray!

NOW this was only a random example ,was not to start a debate, and doesn't reflect my opinion , it wasjust to show how polemic or even flames may be ignited by a apparently innocent topic , when involve religion and politic

We do not allow specific topics on politics or religion because they can easily get out of hand.

I don't know the extent of what was mentioned in the thread but one of our moderators must have thought it had the potential to get out of hand.
