Recent reptile visitors to my garden

In my part of the world, an unusually warm start to Spring has brought out some reptiles
that I have been noticing over the last few days warming themselves on the rocks around the garden. :bigthup

This very sleepy Blue Tongued Lizard was easy to snap.

However this Red Bellied Black Snake required me to set up a time-lapse video camera viewing the general area hoping for an appearance.

Short .avi video here.

you were very brave to take that photo/video of the snake. I wouldn't be seen near one. I can handle a sleepy lizard.

fluffybunny: i like the visitors you get to your garden! are those snakes poisonous, though? i'm not generally scared of snakes, but i don't like the idea of getting bitten by anything poisonous.

Hey AnMal, nice to see you back

That snake's not too venomous. Number 21 on this list.

OMG looks like the population in Australia wasn't meant to grow to high.

yes sallyanne, if I see one snake, I will make it back to Canada without even using a jet or boat.

oh heavens, only three steps down from a king cobra! suddenly fluffy's garden seems a lot less cool...

i don't think i'll be in a rush to go to australia. first all those scary spiders (some of them deadly) and now all those dangerous snakes.

fluffybunny: hehe, i'm so impressed by the talents of your aussie reptiles! just imagine them forming letters like that...

I was wondering if anyone would notice them hiding in the grass. :bigthup
