Hi,

I've been using GIMP along with Inkscape for a while now. I used to use Photoshop and Illustrator .I use them to develop graphics for web sites, album covers, greetings cards.

I'm interested in animation and have made a few in GIMP. I wrote a program that produces simple bitmap images that I can play with in GIMP.

Thank you for your warm welcome.

I look forward to trying out some tutorials and learning some new techniques. I have an idea to write a tutorial as well.

Yes I have. That was the big breakthrough for me, it allowed me to renumber frames and export animations. I animate my shapes and then insert sections by renumbering frames to join maybe 4 60 frame animations together.

I have made a start. It is a tutorial that allows you have 3d blotter style corners on your canvas. I really like using the GIMP blends and I found by accident that you can use blends to create a soft 3D look.

Here is the finished result.
