maybe this is just a wild dream, but i would love to have this g'mic filter work on a selection and have the option to make the outer (blurred) frame follow the shape of the inner (bordered) frame or not, as i choose. the goal would be to make images like these:
outer frame follows shape of inner frame
outer frame does not follow shape of inner frame
oh that is one of my wish, you explain well with examples,
the other was a option to round the corners...oh yes there is the option already i am talking to apply also to other polygonal or star-shaped frames not only to rectangular frames
and the last wish was a option to use instead then "simple" blur, motion blur to project to the pixels to the periphery of the image to the periphery of the frames , in few words use motion blur for a sort of stretch pixel effect that i am sure would look nice , even more if could be faded (faded to black , it would look as a vignette effect over the pixel strecth, or fade to transparency or chosen color )
