Molly i think we need glade installed to make it work.
I have the same problem with 3 other python modules.
Lorem Ipsum - because it needs a generator to work
Border Lines 2 - because it needs other dependencies probably glade
FlipCells - needs dependencies - not sure which ones

On Linux, the python files have to be made executable (chmod +x ...) but on Windows, they ought to work out of the box...

Rod, how do I install Glade? what I have has no extension, so I don't know what it is.... Just says LineBorder.glade

Well I can't get Line Border to run and I have Glade installed. I also went to all the files from the Line Border install and right clicked on each file. If any were "blocked" I would click unblock. After all of that and it not working, I restarted my computer and it's still a no-go. I give! I have no clue how to get it to work.

I put all the py files into Gimp2.6 plugin folder....

First an apology to PM. I grudgingly opened Win 7 64 bit on my office computer to check how my Line Border 2 was set up to work, and guess what? It doesn't! I think this was the last straw in my dealings with Windows 7, and I committed to using Ubuntu at that point. So, yes, on the dual boot in Ubuntu it's working, but not on Win 7. So, thinking I would be clever (I really shouldn't have done this) I went and downloaded compiled 64 bit Python (2.5 versions) and modules (Cairo, PyGtk, and PyObject) thinking maybe, just maybe, it would work then. No dice. After lengthy searching and reading on this subject I learned the hard way, that any 32 bit program requires 32 bit Python. Too bad you have to dig and dig and dig for information to only find out what you are attempting will not work. My gut told me to leave it alone, and I wish I had. Hours wasted. So, what we are looking at here is hopefully GIMP's 64 bit version will move out of the development arena and become a stable application, and hope that the compiling of 64 bit Python will become more commonplace. Or possibly alternatives that I am not yet familiar with. You know, I realize that Line Border 2 is more enhanced, but I found the script version to be suitably efficient.

Well everything is still running alright. I did some tweaking so to speak yesterday even on the pc. I did as suggested i got the text copied into notepad and saved it as map-wrap.py file. in the plug-ins folder is looks like any other py item but I am not finding on my list. hmmm.. I could be looking in the wrong place anything is possible I am on a steep learning curve here. LOL

@ Mahvin - No problem. At least I know I am not doing it wrong. I know I can stop trying it.

Ok..I got the wrapmap to work and it is on my filters. Shakes head. Now to figure out how to use it. LOL

Oh and just incase anyone is wondering how I got it all to work even for the line border. I took this little link mahvin gave http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/gnome/binarie ... bglade/2.6 and copy/pasted it on to my browser..download the file (one that would work for me) into my plugins..unzipped in plugins folder...placed a copy of the said "libglade-2.0-0.dll" into my bin folder/file of gimp got the line border to work..then finally decided to place a copy of it for 'shits and giggles' in with all my plugins and the wrapmap.py worked. Which when mentioned to use notepad to copy all the text into and save as a py extension and then place into plug-in folder.
