To all those who were so encouraging and kind with my Princess saga a few months ago, I sadly report that she passed yesterday abruptly, shockingly during a non-invasive medical procedure; her little heart just gave out.

Again, to those of you who have pets - they're family - they're eternal babies in our hearts and eyes. I have no desire to do anything so, if I'm not around joining in on tutorials it's because I can't right now. I will continue to read all of your great posts and feel in "company" with you.

Very sorry to hear this Dalia. We have two cats and yes, they are part of the family and when they aren't feeling well, they have no way to tell us what is wrong. That is what makes it so sad, to see them suffer and can't tell us what the problem is.
Hope you are feeling better soon, I know, it is hard.

So sorry you had to lose your fur-baby. Did she passed while under anesthesia? You gave her a great life, and that is the best thing you can do for a pet.

Dalia, take the time you need to overcome this painful stage. Your friends are with you. :(
Huge hug

Sorry for your loss, Dalia.
The passing of our loved pets is never easy to deal with, especially when it occurs suddenly and unexpectedly such as in your case.
By chance, is there currently any other pets to look after in your life, and if not, do you plan to adopt some in the future? Likely, taking care of another little friend (either new or already present) could somehow help to alleviate the sorrow of such a loss, although I understand that no one will ever be able to become a real substitute of your Princess, whose sweet remembrance will never fade away, as it should be.

I'm sorry to hear this too, Dalia. I know what it's like to lose a pet that has been a long time part of the family. I had a cat that lived for 20 years and I still miss her.

Thank you all for sharing your comments and your own personal stories which must have been painful. It is all too raw. In time I know the pain will ease. Most of it is the sudden departure and immense love of her that now has transposed itself into immense pain.

Marcello, initially I refused to even consider another pet. My family was already looking within two days and was ready. I thought they were heartless. But, in one of those flashes of thought and, after consideration alone, I thought to contact my Princess' breeder. I discussed it with the family and all agreed. I called the breeder and, ironically, the day my Princess departed the breeder had a litter ready for viewing.

Our "Mila" will be here tomorrow. She's not a replacement but boy is she a little one to give all the love we have to give her and given that two events took place the same day (Princess' departure and Mila's availability); it seems like a gift from Princess.

Gosh I just got butterflies reading that. A lot of people just don't realize how much our pets are part of the family, and when they hurt, we hurt.

Happy for your decision. You will always remember Princess, but her sister will bring you another gift. Life goes on.

lylejk, no apologies necessary - thank you for your sentiments.

As mentioned above Mila arrived yesterday. Thought you'd like a look. Oh and Marcello, you were right, life seems to be returning slowly to our home.
