Forgive me, but I was never a fan.
I hope that he finds peace wherever he is now.

According to Hinduism
The person who commits suicide is doing so to escape from a problem or suffering. Instead of facing the problem, if one escapes by committing suicide, it amounts to cheating oneself because in the next birth there will be more problems/sufferings. It is not possible to escape from the law of karma. One has to undergo the effects of the bad karma whether in this birth or in the future births. Therefore, by committing suicide the situation cannot be changed. In fact, committing suicide increases the stock of bad karma and therefore one will suffer more.

Therefore, suicide should be avoided at all costs.

It was a total shock to me, found out this evening at the supper table, he will be dearly missed. Grew up with him on Mork&Mindy, always watched him in his movies and on TV.

He most certainly be missed... Google Robin Williams and koko the Gorilla.
He spend some time with Koko, the Gorilla that was taught sign language, he made the Gorilla laugh!

Yes, I saw that on ET last night. He loved that Gorilla and the Gorilla also loved Robin. He brought a lot of love and laughter to everyone he came in contact with. He was one of the great ones.
