Don't try to solve it by yourself.

I will solve it, but you need to help me by posting the screenshot I asked for.

You getting fcTL error too?

Can you post a screenshot?

I was searching for information on what the error means. This is one of the few errors I haven't gotten.

K this has gotten quite a bit confusing with the new APNG plugins and all and if i use the new debugging version then it wont give me the flTL error but the information i already posted even if i try to save the mollyapng pic...

I couldnt open up the gimprocks image even by doing what photomaster said helped for him and i couldnt save a gif as APNG by chaning it to RGB and that is not what i want eiher i want quality but by changing GIF to APNG the quality is still the same crap like gif...

Sorry, but unfortunately you are giving me no useful information.

Please, don't just say "I couldn't save it" as it gives me no clues in my investigation. Provide details, please, as much as possible.

At least show me the debug info you get when you are re-saving 53_mollyapng.png

the debigging information on mollyapngis EXACTLY like the debugging information on the pic i already posted on page 6 or 5....

Also if u want information

At first i could save 2 images with APNG plugin, then i tried making a picture with 2 APNGs by opening a background and putting those 2 APNGs i made on it but from there on it started giving me the error...

I dont know what kind of information u want iv posted all screenshots of my errors and the debugging1 also, it works for every1 else on Win7 so i have no idea what the hell is the problem

Not possible.

width, height, number of layers, delays - all that debugging info would be different between "that's good" picture on page 5 and "molly" picture.

This is probably going to be a silly question but bear with me -

Is the background you used for the two APNGS indexed or RGB?
Because if you place APNGS (RGB) on a image that's INDEXED that may be why.
Did you try converting the background image to RGB first?

Another silly question -
Did you place the background behind each frame or layer of the APNGS?

What I'm noticing is that the number of plays is so high. I don't know if it's supposed to be.

Yeah, number of plays doesn't matter. It won't cause any errors.
I'm more interested in dispose_op and blend_op for all 3 frames.

valid values for dispose_op are 0, 1, 2
valid values for blend_op are 0, 1

Anything else would immediately result in "invalid xxxx in fcTL" error.

I don't see the actual error message on the screenshot, but I would've expected it to be about blend_op (is that correct, BlooDxInt?), since it appears to be 43 (?)

I have no idea but the fcTL error i got before was
invalid dispose_op in fcTL

But right now dispose_op is the correct value and blend_op is the1 that is causing it to crash. The new version must have worked for the dispose_op

What does blend_op do and how to fix it?

edit:i put the old v1.0 back on my plugins again and it gave me the fcTL error invalid dispose_op

So yeah i guess u did fix it in ur new version

It worked on my Vista 64-bit, was able to create an APNG animation and download a GIF and save it as APNG (after converting to RGB, doh!).

The problem (and deal breaker if it's not fixable) is that the animation doesn't seem to "work" in an Internet Explorer browser. Works in Firefox, but just a still image (first frame I guess) in IE, for me and I had someone else check on their computer too.

Probably it's just IE failing again, it doesn't do well with animated GIFs, but it's unfortunate. APNG looks so much better than GIF, but lots of people use IE.

Do any Internet Explorer users have the same problem being able to see the animation on an APNG?

EDIT: Looks like it's known to be not supported. Now I know :)

I guess so...
OK, now I applied the same fix to blend_op too, and removed debugging info, let's see how it works:

Yes i can save now. Thank you

Also i tried adding 2 apngs to one background again but it failed again....

Is it possible to do with this plugin?

I would like to have 1 background and then mutliple APNGS on the same picture but the background has to stay the same at all times while the little APNGs on the background run at the same time not 1apng forst then 2nd and so on but all APNGs at the same time.

IS it possible with that plugin or any other way?

I know i can do it with a gif but it didnt work with an APNG

Edit:Okay i tried now and i got 2 APNGs on 1 background but they run so that the first apng runs thru, then the next1 starts running.
Can the plugin make it so that the APNGs run simultaniously?

Or if it can can u upgrade the plugin once more so that it can if that can be done.

Also do u know how i can open an APNG as layers into the spot i want it to come not in the middle of my pic cuz it sucks having to move all 50-80 layers into the right spot

Plugin is for saving and loading only.

What do you want is some complex manipulations of 2 images with multiple layers.
You need to ask pro GIMP gurus about it, maybe they know how to manipulate lots of layers.

Start a separate thread, maybe...

nevermind i figured it out already...i will merge the 2 APNGs down to eachother so that instead of 2 APNGs with 50 layers i will have 50 layers of 2 APNGs

There is a filter called layer groups which handles multi layers (delete, move, all linked and so forth with many more options.More information can be found here. http://registry.gimp.org/node/16563

Glad you got it working BloodxInt. :)

All you have to do is place this scm file in your Scripts folder
If you are running Windows put it here
C:\documents and settings\YourUserNameHere\.gimp-2.6\Scripts
