You are doing a great job but I only showed you the filter (truchet) David already provided us with in G'MIC.

Well OK Sallyanne, but it was you/your thread that highlighted Truchet patterns - there are well over 400 GMIC filters on top of GIMP and script-fu/python-fu and it will take me one hell of a long time to check them all out. So I appreciated the visual heads up anyway.

Also my ignorance now stands out :oops:

Ah .. thanks Molly; knew of both as 'individuals' since my time here in GC but did not realise it was really one and the same!! Still that's a bit more learning I have undertaken now.
