Anyone want to design my band's logo?

I think I like 2 because when you scroll, it looks like the record is rotating.

I stopped getting notices via email, and I thought the thread had kinda died... I didn't expect this kind of response at all. I just now checked in because I got a PM, and these are great!
I like Greg's font effects, and Rob, your refinements are really cool. There isn't a bad design among the bunch. Thank you all so much! I will run this thread by the others and see what happens. One is a hobbyist graphics designer, another has 'friends' so we'll see. At this point, I'm leaning toward Rob's number 3 design.

The battle within the band right now is whether to have a big 'Z' in the background, or to just have a distinctive font. I like the idea of the radio waves, because it gives some symbology, without taking away from the pop and readability of the font.

I like that Rob; only a handful of primative shapes can make all the letters too.

How about a old Monkees style guitar shaped logo? Plus the radio looks like guitar tuning pegs (only 5 not 6) or a turntable.

Done in Inkscape with the Georgia font face.
