Some effects of GMIC depend on the image size like Artistic -> Colored Pencil .

Does anyone know if there is an option somewhere to get the same result on this effect on a big size image ?

actually I have tried on the same image at different sizes and different settings and the original sizes are the same as long as you are looking at them 100%

When selecting a filter in G'MIC, the preview zoom factor is automatically set so that what you see is the closest possible to what you get when applying the filter.
If you change the preview scale, there is almost no changes you get an accurate preview. So, did you modify the preview zoom factor? By default, the preview is quote accurate.

Example, original file, image of 3564 px for the biggest side :


Result with this image reduced to 640px with GMIC effect Artistic -> Colored Pencil (default options):


Result with this image not reduced (3564 px ) and this same effect (default options):


The effect Artistic -> Anguish has no difference depending on the image size but as you can see the effect Artisitic -> Colored Pencil does.

I can't get the result of the 640px image on an image of 3564px for the Artisitic -> Colored Pencil GMIC effect.

Does anyone would know how to ?

You can not expect a large image to render the same as a small image with default settings. Try increasing the values about x5 In fact I think the sliders will be the limiting factor

I guess that one correct (future) solution could be to have as much as possible the input parameters for any G'MIC (and non G'MIC) filter EXPRESSED AS A PERCENT of the image size (in some cases the image size could be the "area", in other simply the width+height...)

Sometimes allowed max values (at least in the GUI) are very low for large images. For example for Bokeh filter in large images, the circles are very small with the maximum allowed size.
