Made some important revisions. Had to extend the canvas height and add additional details to fix a perspective mistake with the sketch. This time there's no brush stroke texture, this is the digital painting as it is without any post-processing:

Garrrrrrrrrrfffffffiiiiiieeeeeelllllllllldddd!!! :D :D :D
Love it! I think though his tail would seem more "tail-like" if you saw it going past the gap in his legs. That angle he looked a little like he has a third leg. (to me at least) ..Still I love it! Garfield is mah kitteh! xD

A WIP update of a Mona Lisa painting I started some time ago. So far created by only using vanilla Gimp. Sketch layer is visible, which won't be in the finished painting. Still a long way to go in any case:

With that expression you could call it Mona Lizzie. :D

david-c: i love the van gogh pears! beautiful use of colours and i always liked that style of painting. i'm with moko when it comes to garfield - his tail looks more like a third leg - maybe let it fly in the air a bit?
hope you finishh mona lisa soon, i'm looking forward to that one!

Second and final WIP update of my Mona Lisa painting. Still a lot of work to be done. The face still needs some remodelling and the hands need some refining. Sketch layer is disabled in this preview for a better glimpse.

Got a new update as I've opted for a different palette as I went along - closer to what is believed to be the original palette.

More notably, I have remodelled the face. Still a long way to go, but a better resemblance than the initial attempts. Hands are too big. That will be corrected in the final painting.

Suspicious Fry replicated from scratch with Gimp Painter 2.8. Might make an animation out of it sometime. It cracks me up.

Another Garfield. This time with Gimp Painter 2.8. I initially intended to use cell shading, but decided to try something a bit different:
