So long Maureen.

Just found out that Maureen O'Hara passed away today. She was one of my Dad's favorite actressses (and one of mine too). Who hasn't enjoyed her many movies that she's starred in w/ the Duke. The Quiet Man was one of my favorites. So long Maureen; you will be missed.

Beautiful job, what processes were used to make this?

Started off using G'MIC's Anisotrophic smoothing, then fed the result into FotoSketcher and blended with the G'MIC result. I then did a lot of clone/heal brush work, and added some additional tweaks (don't ask; hard to outline nuance) before adding the canvas blend. Thanks for the comments 2-ton.

lylejk: i agree with 2-ton, you did a beautiful job on that fake painting, i'm sure she would have appreciated the tribute.

Very sad, I remember her too. I didn't know she was still alive. Seems like she has been around forever.

Thanks for the comments AnMal.

Around 2 years ago, I did discover that she was still spunky as ever Molly; hard to believe since the Duke passed away in the 1970s as I recall. Still sad so many of the real actors/actresses have passed and, for the most part, replaced by over paid performers with no class.
