I've released a new version of the G'MIC plug-in for GIMP, numbered 1.6.8.

A lot of small bugs have been fixed, as well as various optimizations, so do not hesitate to upgrade,
particularly if you were using a version older than 1.6.7 !

After updating, I appear to have 3 less filters in the count. Thankfully the ones missing aren't in my faves.

Hi Deblk - if you check out this download site, you will see installer and zip files for both 32 and 64 bit Windows ...

Thank you...i did have a look before but think I have now found what i am looking for

by clicking on the first line you get the installer (64bits or 32bits, which one you need)
(only if you click specifically on "zip file" you get the zip file)

I have been receiving this:

when trying to access http://gmic.eu pages for the last several days
http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/gmic.eu says the site is up…

Any idea what could be wrong?

Opened for me straight away. Maybe a lot of people in your area are using it when you try - only thing I can think of.

Thanks for the quick replies folks, apparently the one time it partially worked (accessing the site from the update filters feature which usually has given "Filters update from Internet (partially) failed ! / Unable to reach these filters sources: / * http://gmic.eu/gimp_update1661.gmic" ) it "broke" the installation enough I needed to remove both GMIC & Gimp, do a system restore and reinstall UGH!.

From what I've read while slowly beating WinDoze into submission during the restore, I need to download 1.6.8 as an exe and install it anyway…

The inability to reach any pages @ h^^p://gmic.eu [or h^^ps://gmic.eu ] has been consistent since sometime late last week and has occurred at all hours of the day, which suggests to me local congestion is unlikely to be the cause.

The issue also occurs consistently with the Chrome browser (normally using Firefox 43.0.1)

Wondering if NoScript settings (which I've been getting stricter about) could be influencing this…??? although I tried a few times with it globally disabled which ought to remove it as a problem…

This seems doubly unlikely as I have the same problem with time-outs on a MAC without NoScript…

I've not yet tried through someone else's connection and probably won't get a chance until Saturday

Is there any other source for the windows G'MIC installer? (ie not on h^^p://gmic.eu )
