Hi! My name is Arzmin...
Im 15 and I live in Malaysia...
I've found Gimp 2 after I've used Paint Tool Sai and when I take a quick look at Gimp 2 it was way more powerful so I use it but I haven't done any drawing with it....
Im a mouse user and I know that sounds though but It's okay for me.....Especially Paint Tool Sai...
My Drawing was not so good xD but I love to draw and make characters... So,nice to meet this new community for me...

Merry Christmas and I hope you will stay with us for awhile and learn all you need to know about gimp.
Gimp is cool and as you have already found out it is a free download. If you haven't got the latest version you should be able to get it from Partha's Place at http://www.partha.com/
Also get the latest G'MIC plugin for gimp from http://gmic.eu/gimp.shtml
Both work on many Operating Systems
You will find lots of tutorials here and many links to scripts that will do much the same as filters in gimp do. You just need to add them to your gimp.
By the way if you want to paint, there is a program (I think it is a free download) called My Paint.
