It's something that happens occasionally but when you try a second refresh it works, I have forgotten the reason but I remember the cure (just try again)

Yes Graechan, internet selected and I kept retrying, but to no avail, same message kept turning up. I recently downloaded the latest G'MIC package, are there any other ways to get the updates?

I believe I could just give you my file but It may be wise to post a thread on the G'MIC Discussions page about your problem

Yes Graechan, if you mean the 'refresh ' button in G'MIC, but look what I get ...

On another post I attached the file you are looking for, but for this purpose it's useless, you have to have version 1.6.02, only there you will find that new filter

Good recall, Issabella!

GC Emboss is specially suitable for a certain type of images, which are enhanced by the "plasticity" effect of the filter

Tried another one. After Emboss, used Diego's color modLcs to enhance.

thanks, Pat, for using my modLCS; in effect it's a "general purpose" aid whenever a better Luminosity and/or Contrast and/or Saturation or all of them are required.
I use it as an "ancillary" step in almost any personal filter I create (some of which I posted here recently)

I saw some interesting images here so I thought I would have a play and see what came out - following Pat's path of emboss>modLCs then plus tweaks of course.

A recent photo of one of a number of local animal images carved in sandstone, in a small park outside an historic pub in the bush ...
