David, thanks one more time for your help to understand about ways to enhance a photo. :tyspin
I am missing many people in this thread and specially my friend Dinasset. I hope they have their contribution soon and with their results all of us will be able to learn and enjoy them. :)

dinasset,
Good to see you on this thread again - you have been missed!

Now for my try at my forest_path photograph. I added a new sky to make it more interesting and adjusted various areas using masks.
Two screenshots attached (better than my attempts at explanation!)

david.

Thanks Ofnuts for your contribution. Nice effect on the photo. :bigthup
Happy you are back in the thread Dinasset. Very good results on the photos. I'm still trying to manage with Luminosity Masks. :)
David, your last photo is rather difficult for me to enhance it properly. Your result and Dinasset's are really good. :clap

ofnuts,

What filter did you use to get the effect on FlowerCircles?
It is very good. I have searched through all my filters and been unable to find it.

- Take the red channel
- Apply this with suitable tiles
- Add the original image
- Set original image to hard-light mode (IIRC)

a "vague" approach to Ofnuts' technique by a lazy guy:
user a PS filter thru PSPI : dsb flux / Bubbles

I come here late again. But it took me long time to get a more or less nice I think. I used a luminosity mask and contrast. Also freaky details in GMIC.
I like your new effects on photos Dinasset. :bigthup

dinasset,

Two tries at your photograph. The gas cylinder (?) had to go!!!
First: various layer masks to try and pull information from parts of the picture, followed by wavelet sharpening.
Second: I have stolen an idea from you! Nuance "rosa arancio", grain merge, hard light, 43% opacity.

david.

Wallace, how did you add the rainbow so good?
David, the rosa arancio you added gives to the picture a very nice warm look.

I just used one of my rainbow brushes and set the layer to grain merge.

Then used a layer-mask to remove any of the unwanted rainbow.
