Just to remain on the subject.
Written another plug-in for dithering, this time following wbool63 quick indications.
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11108& (see post#10)
It makes use of newsprint filter.
Changes applied:
- possibility to apply an angle to the newsprint call
- newsprint cell size adapted to image size
- map displacements (x and y) adapted to cell size and related to angle applied
- recreated the source image at bottom for user's further processing

This plugin did not catch my attention, but recently I've been playing with different dithering and halftone scripts/plugins and really like the results.
Especially if you apply threshold for a 1-bit effect and drag the black triangle right, used 168 in Lenna reference image.
