Hey all, I am working on a design and the text comes out very pixelated. I already have the antialiasing on so I'm a bit lost. Font is Sans @ size 14. Here is a screenshot of what I'm dealing with. Any ideas on how to smooth the edges out for a more professional look?

First work on a much larger canvas, before scaling the image down in the size you want. I have experienced the same thing in Gimp. It is not the same as in PS for example.

You say the font is size 14. What units?
The letter l is about 24 pixels tall. That is very small.

I suspect that your image size in pixels is too small. This requires a very small font to fit into the image.

Here is the same font at size 14 with a zoom of 100%,
which is most likely how it will display on the web.

Mr. Wallace,
Sir, how did you do it!?
I am having trouble with this issue as well.

Am using Gimp 2.10.30 in Ubuntu 22.04.

I would check the "Hinting" setting within the text tool options.
I believe there are a few options for Hinting.
I believe by default it's set to medium hinting and also with Antialiasing checked.
