Today I tried to ask for 256 colours detection. Not slow.
Then I applied the hue of the original source.

Which "darkelfphoto" of mine did you prefer? The coloured one or the desaturated one?
Seeing that your new 3 outcomes are grayscale I assume the desaturated.
But your coloured "model" looks quite fascinating.

It's the variation of outcomes from different members that's interesting.
Everyone has his own personal view on it.

The next one I did desaturate, added a black layer grain merge mode which I reduced the opacity.
