Hi folks. I am the Historian for the aircraft carrier: USS Constellation (CVA/CV 64).

Part of my research involves gathering, correcting and/or enhancing images of the ship and archiving them.

As "Connie" entered service in October of 1961, some of the photographs are better than 40 years old, many are B&W, torn, scratched, dusty slide scans, and frequently have color issues.

The problems with colors on several are beyond my GIMP skill sets and are kicking my a**, so I'm here to educate myself.

Hope you can find out how to fix your photos soon. You will find Gimp easy to learn and many people here to guide you too.
There are a few on here with the skills to help you
