Hello GimpChat! It's been a while!

I saw that Gimp 2.10 is out so thought I'd take it out for a spin with a couple of rabbit sketches. I messed about with the brush dynamics and worked out how to smudge again.

Critiques welcome good or bad - thanks!

Nice to see you Artloader. Your rabbits are really cute and I like your sketching style - keeping things simple and focusing on the main forms. I've got a habit of trying to do too much.

@Erisian: Thank you my friend - yes the main forms and then some indication of the shadows.

@Mahvin: Thank you sir - I like it so far - although I struggled to get the blend tool working - even after following the advice I found on this forum. The last piece of the puzzle was to set the opacity to something greater than 0!

I've been experimenting with creating a charcoal effect and texture brushes in Gimp 2.10. I even made a few of my own brushes!

Artloader, I love the charcoal effect. The lighting gives the girl something mysterious.
The gaze thoughtful in the distance and the face something proud.
My very personal opninion...

The bunnies are very cute.
It looks like they've run away from a cartoon or a fairy tale book.

Thank you dinasset - I try to construct my figures with correct perspective but sometimes I feel it adds too much complexity to the process. Maybe I will try to cut a few corners and see what happens.
