IMG_3835. Changed the perspective - not sure if this is better or worse. I tried to bring out more detail in the darker areas.



IMG_4451. I decided to make the tower central and vertical as the main theme of the image. Again emphasised detail in the darker parts of the photo. I would have liked to remove the railing to show the building as originally built, but I need more inspiration to achieve that!



IMG_4593. Local adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation.



For all of these images I have made use of my Equal Luminosity Masks HMS plug-in. It is slow to run but allows adjustments to different areas of brightness. With Curves this can be quite "brutal" - just moving the upper and lower points of the line by large amounts, without affecting adjacent parts.

Lyle, yes, it was a very nice cultural trip seeing so many beautul buildings, pictures, monuments but enjoying especial food also.
I must say I did a lot physical exercise getting up 200 and more steps and I think that anymore I'll do it.

Corrected the perspective of the buildings in the background using Hugin (more practice for me). Lightened the foreground and a slight darkening of the background. Cropped.

IMG_4316. The fire fittings had to go! Apart from that minor adjustments to brightness and contrast. I am not completely happy with the result - I may try again.
