In Skandinavian legends, it was a good idea to keep a friendly relationship with the local trolls and giants, especially during Christmas, when they may pass by. So best have a gift prepared!

This year's Christmas Card, a long running tradition at this point. Made only using OSS tools - Krita and some GIMP. Also included Blender in my workflow this year, for experimenting with perspective and light.

Merry Christmas!

Wow, I'd love to receive your cards. I'd keep every one. Your network must look forward to them.

Merry Christmas. The card, it's beautiful artwork. I love the detail.

The vaette aren't strong in that one (especially if the troll makes another step forward).

Wonderful work Griatch! It's cool that you used Blender as well! Merry Christmas dude!

I wonder what happens to the poor folk who don't put a present out for the giants and trolls? Could this be a mythical protection racket that slowly developed into the full scale industry it is today?

Glad you like it!

I hope they do! Swedish postage is getting more and more expensive every year

Thanks!

There are a few more vätte to be foundthan that one actually, who are safer from getting stomped.

Thanks! Yeah, Blender is a new tool for me, really interesting to use it for quick prototyping.

Haha, yes maybe! Always good to keep on good footing with the giants and trolls, on this the folk lore is very clear.

Ah, yes, I see them now! Sneaky little creatures...

It's beautiful.

Heh, been trying to include a few of them ever since Vaettebron.

Thanks!
